Who we are

This website is operated by Robin Gonard, trading as binou.gg, based in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Robin Gonard is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.

Applicable law

Guernsey's data protection law is the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017, administered by the Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA). The principles applied here are equivalent to those under the UK GDPR. Guernsey is recognised by the European Commission as providing adequate data protection.

What personal data we collect

This website does not use a contact form, cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics tools. No personal data is collected passively from visitors.

If you contact us by email at hello@binou.gg, we will receive and store the personal data contained in that email (typically your name, email address, and the content of your message). This is processed solely to respond to your enquiry.

Lawful basis

Email enquiries are processed on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, responding to a contact you have initiated. Where an engagement follows, processing is on the basis of contract performance.

Retention

Enquiry emails are retained for 12 months from the date of last contact. Where a contractual relationship is established, relevant records are kept for the duration of that relationship and for six years thereafter for legal and accounting purposes.

Third-party processors

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which acts as a data processor. No personal data submitted via this website is passed to Cloudflare — the site is entirely static. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email is hosted by Google Workspace, acting as a data processor under a data processing agreement. Email data is stored in a mailbox accessible only to Robin Gonard.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, or obtain portability of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise any right, email hello@binou.gg. We will respond within one calendar month.

Security

All traffic is served over HTTPS. Email access is protected by multi-factor authentication. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
